Fairfield Inn Kansas City Downtown/Union Hill

We had a wonderful stay at Fairfield Inn. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, especially the front desk staff and the housekeeping team. The housekeepers were very friendly and did an excellent job keeping our room clean and comfortable. Our room was spotless upon arrival, and we truly felt welcomed throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

Would recommend this little place to everyone... it's walking distance to everything, and if your not a walker it is right on the sky rail route on Main street. We were right on the Main road side and the traffic noise did not bother us. With the air-conditioning/ Heater on you won't hear it at all. We had very peaceful sleep s, comfy bed and room was awesome. The staff are super helpful and the free breakfast was great; were from Australia so byo Vegemite if you're coming for a while .... We loved or stay and we will be back for sure

I've stayed at this Hotel several times. The associates always provide exceptional guest service to me and others. The Hotel is clean, the rooms are nice and comfortable. They always provide a fresh breakfast with a variety of items to choose from. I meet Ricardo at my recent visit and he was very kind and helpful. I truly appreciate that the Hotel has great staff that truly cares for its guests! Thank you

Location was perfect! Pool was pretty chilly, but bare able if being able to swim is important to you. Breakfast was pretty good. Staff was nice. You don’t pay until check out which is new to me and kind of inconvenient. All in all, not a bad stay.

I stayed there last Wednesday and had a great stay! Carlos at the front desk was so kind, and he remembered me from a previous stay! I asked him if the room I stayed in the last time was available, since it had a nice view of the downtown skyline, and he not only found the room I stayed in, but he actually got me the room right above it on the fourth floor with an even better view! He also told me about the streetcar that goes right in front of the hotel. He said the last time I had stayed, it wasn’t completed but is now available; it is super convenient to have that streetcar, which is free and takes you to the Plaza shopping area and to downtown! Carlos, you’re a great ambassador for not just the Marriott Bonvoy brand but also for Kansas City! Thank you for your hospitality, exceptional customer service, and great recommendations to make my stay even better! I will certainly be back! Side note: the hotel is undergoing exciting renovations, but I never once heard construction activity. The hotel is being strategic by doing the renovations in such a way that isn’t disruptive to guests. I stayed on the fourth floor on the half that was already remodeled. There was a makeshift wall in the hallway that separated the section of the hotel under renovation, so it wasn’t disturbing or noisy at all. Thank you, Marriott, for keeping your rooms updated and doing so in such a way that doesn’t disrupt your guests’ sleep and rest.

We had a great experience at this hotel and loved having the free tram available, which we took the entire time we were in KC. We ran into an issue with our type of room we booked not being available at check-in, but the front desk staff did a great job of rectifying that the next morning. The housekeeping staff even moved our bags to the new room for us when we were out for the day and included the two phone chargers we had forgot to pack back up that morning. I really appreciated their help in fixing the situation and making our stay more comfortable.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice, clean, well appointed. Location is great. There is a nice indoor pool which is well maintained. I stay here regularly for a night or two - around once a month. This time there has been a lovely jump in the quality of the breakfast - very nice with a variety of items available. Real orange juice, not orange juice "drink.". Even oat milk for the coffee, honey for the oatmeal. I appreciate that they have compostable plates. Maybe someday they will have real silverware, instead of plastic, or perhaps bamboo?

Ricardo is very Helpful and knowledgeable, He and all the team members makes my stay so much more enjoyable. The courtesy and professional attitude that Mr Ricardo has is unwavering. Thank you for all you do.
